IC Information;
Character Name; Cordelia Chase
Canon; Angel
Canon Point; S2E05
Age; 19

House; I think Cordy would fit into Sigyn's house because of how much she's grown as a person and because she really does care about others and strives to help those who need it.
Power; Healing

Personality; Thankfully Cordelia Chase has for the most part grown up and is no longer the girl she started out as in High School. No longer completely egocentric, petty or totally superficial, she's developed the need to be a better person and even learned to try to treat others with kindness. Working for Angel has opened her eyes when it came to dealing with those less fortunate, and made her realize that her life wasn't as bad as it could be. No matter what though, she thinks very highly of herself and very little can be done to get under that self worth. Though when one manages to break it, it can result in a very long and cold grudge. (ie Xander cheating on her with Willow.)

Despite that, Cordelia is still blunt and at times lacks tact (okay most of the time), having once stated that tact is just not saying true stuff. She's never been one who believes in sugar coating things, ever and when she says something, she means it. Even if people don't like that she's saying, Cordelia is almost honest to a fault.

She's still sarcastic and while she at times does appear to be dumb, she is in fact very smart and can think on her feet to overcome problems. She's deeply loyal to those she considers her friends and family, something that stems from finding out what true friendship is during high school. She takes crap from no one, not even her friends and least of all people she doesn't consider her friends. She's actually been a good influence on Angel, and tries to help him whenever she can. She has the ability to be sneaky and deceitful when necessary, and despite her confidence, fears not being needed by her friends.

Cordelia of course has a love for clothes that just won't go away. She embraces being a woman, loving the idea of dressing up and meeting the man (wealthy) of her dreams. Despite having grown between the series of Buffy and Angel, Cordelia does at times still come off as very shallow, it's just not as often.

Like anyone else, Cordelia does have fears and insecurities, she just does a better job than most at hiding them. She fears not being needed by her friends and being a hinder to them. This isn't true as she does in fact help Angel out a lot, but it's still something that she's afraid of. She's also afraid of coming in second best. All her life, Cordelia Chase has always had to be number one. This was upset in high school with the arrival of Buffy and then subsequently having Xander cheat on her with Willow. But in Angel, she doesn't show that as much and she hardly if ever brings up Xander.

When Doyle sacrificed himself in order to help his fellow demons and passed his visions onto her, she was frightened and scared at first, not understanding what a huge responsibility he'd given her and not wanting it. She just wanted to do her job with Angel and work on her acting career. The visions were extremely painful and would often leave her thrashing on the ground in agony and because of this, didn't really leave her much chance of an acting career - which in turn just pissed her off and made her a little resentful of The Powers That Be. Though when she was forced to experience the pain of everyone in the city, she realized just how many people need help and becomes determined to be one of them who helps them no matter what.
